Valley of the Rainbows

Travel with us to the enchanting, lush rainforest deep within the beautiful Valley of the Rainbows. Nestled below towering jungle trees, Lyon Arboretum, one of the world’s premier botanical gardens awaits you. Oahu Nature Tours provides exclusive, small group, guided tours to this exotic rainforest paradise where 5,000 species of plants bathe in the, fragrant mists produced by over 185 inches of rainfall every year.

As we explore the 200 acre garden, colorful blossoms including bromeliads, hibiscus and orchids surround you while tropical birds sing nearby. Your nature guide will provide information about the garden’s interesting history and efforts to save some of the rarest plants in the world.

Traveling through the historic valley you will learn about the fascinating local history and mythology. The ancient, cloud-swept, emerald green hills have witnessed a steady procession of uses on the valley floor, from Hawaiian taro farms, to cattle ranches, coffee plantations and Japanese rice paddies.

We then visit Pu`u `Uala-ka`a located 1,048 feet above Waikiki. From this lofty vantage point you have a breathtaking 180 degree panoramic view of Oahu’s scenic southeast coastline and sometimes a glistening double rainbow arching across the Valley of the Rainbows far below.

"My wife and I wanted to say thank you for making our honeymoon relaxing and enjoyable. We took the following tours: North Shore, Valley of the Rainbows, Hidden Waterfalls and Diamond Head. Each guide was friendly, knowledgeable and informative on each tour. We were picked up at the hotel on time and allowed to take our time on each tour, so we could take in the beautiful scenery of Oahu. We especially liked that the groups were small. The most individuals in a tour were ten. It seemed at times, we were on a personal tour of the island. We hope to return to Oahu in the future. If we are able to, we will definitely take other tours offered by your company.Thank you,"
Shawn and Jennifer Earley, Richmond, Kentucky, USA

"Hey to Alex and the gang from Oahu Nature Tours for providing a wonderful alternative to the 'Waikiki theme park' impression, most of us get of Hawaii. Alex took the time to get to know us all individually and made us feel a part of a little "bus family". He is an asset to the company and the company is an asset to tourism in the 50th State. "
Gary Sheridan, Gosford/SYDNEY, NS Australia

"The tours we took were absolutely fantastic! My girlfriend and I were wowed beyond belief by the scenery and information passed on by your guides. I only wish we had been able to get those two guides for all 4 of our tours. Sev was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to everyone. I will also second the suggestion I read in another guestbook entry by saying that you should consider expanding to the other islands. The quality of your guides would be a certain hit on ANY island that you offer tours on. We'll be sure to check you folks out the next time (and my girlfriend says that there WILL be a "next time"!) we visit Hawaii. Thanks for a wonderful time! "
